A forming section, and a method of making paper therewith, for a gap blade former type papermaking machine. A headbox delivers a jet of papermaking stock between a conveying forming fabric and a backing forming fabric moving in a machine direction over an impingement shoe and a forming shoe. The stock jet is delivered at a point of impingement located over the impingement shoe, which is mounted to be adjustable by linear movement in the machine direction to be secured in a selected one of a plurality of positions, and optionally also to be rotatable about a pivot point, to adjust the location of the point of impingement. The forming shoe can be similarly mounted for selective linear adjustment and rotation. The precisely controlled adjustability of the point of impingement, including during machine operation, allows for more precise control over stock consistency to improve paper product quality.
La présente invention concerne un module formeur pour machine à papier à distributeur à lame de séparation comportant un caisson de distribution qui fournir un jet de pâte entre une toile de transport et une toile de compression. La toile de transport passe en contact glissant sur un sabot d'incidence sur lequel le jet de pâte arrive au point d'incidence. La toile de compression glisse sur un sabot formeur situé juste après le sabot d'incidence. Le sabot d'incidence est monté de façon à permettre un déplacement transversal ou un pivotement pour que la position du point d'incidence du jet de pâte puisse se régler par l'un au moins des mouvements possibles du sabot d'incidence: pivotement autour d'un premier point et son déplacement transversal.
