A closure (30) for a container having an opening includes a base cap (31) and an overcap (32) that form a sealed chamber (33) adjacent the opening that is isolated from the contents of the container. The base cap (31) includes an outer skirt (36) having container-engaging structure (38), a cylindrical well (40), a frangible membrane (41) connected to the well (40) along an inclined line of weakness (42) and by a hinge member (43). The hinge member (43) has a pocket (44) extending downward adjacent lower (45) and upper (46) terminuses of the line of weakness (42). The overcap (32) includes a body (47) having gripping structure (48), an inner skirt (49) received within and rotatably connected to the well (40), and a cutting member (50) extends below the upper terminus (46). The cutting member (50) severs the line of weakness (42) upon substantial rotation of the overcap (32) with respect to the base cap (31). A method of using the closure (30) is also disclosed.

L'élément de coupe découpe la ligne de fragilité lors de la rotation sensible du couvercle de surbouchage par rapport au couvercle de base. L'invention a également trait à un procédé d'utilisation du couvercle.
