A security seal of the twist- type comprises a housing (11) that contains a revolving stem-like insert (13) having two axially opposed holes (17) positioned in line with guiding holes (19) which extend across the housing wall to receive a locking wire which is wound by turning the revolving stem (13) with a handle (15) solidly fixed to it in a pre-determined direction. The revolving stem has a disc-shaped section with an anti-rotational device that comprises six helical teeth (35) engaging with matching shoulders (37) formed on the respectively matching surfaces of the inner wall of the housing to prevent rotation of the stem in the unwinding direction. Included is a lid (27) to cover the stem-like insert once it is in place in the housing, the lid being attached to the housing by means of a breakable strip (59) and an identification code engraved inside the lid, said identification being at least partially identical to an univocal code identification engraved on the housing. Protuberances (57A, 57B) on each side of the housing are provided through which through holes pass so that they are long enough so as to avoid an element introduced in them applying leveraged up-force on the stem-like insert in an attempt to push it upwards. An anti-removal device comprises a retainer ring (21) formed on the stem engages with a groove (23) formed in the housing (11) when the stem is introduced into the body, the side wall of the housing having a weakened section (29) intended to break if someone tries to remove the lid (67). The housing is see-through and looking through its bottom wall (51) it is possible to see the three last digits of the univocal serial number of the security seal, stamped on a tab (45) fixed to the housing.
Joint de sûreté à torsion composé d'un boîtier (11) contenant une pièce rapportée (13) sous forme de tige rotative possédant deux orifices (17) placés l'un en face de l'autre sur le même axe et alignés sur des orifices de guidage (19) s'étendant à travers la paroi du boîtier afin de recevoir un fil de verrouillage enroulé par rotation de la tige rotative (13) au moyen d'une poignée (15) fixée solidement à cette dernière dans un sens prédéterminé. Cette tige rotative présente une partie circulaire comportant un dispositif antirotatif possédant six dents hélicoïdales (35) accouplées à des épaulements correspondant (37) situés sur des surfaces correspondantes respectives de la paroi intérieure du boîtier afin d'empêcher la rotation de la tige dans un sens de déroulement. Ce joint comporte un couvercle (27) servant à couvrir la pièce rapportée en forme de tige une fois qu'elle est placée dans le boîtier, ce couvercle étant fixé au boîtier au moyen d'une bande cassable (59) et un code d'identification étant gravé à l'intérieur de ce boîtier, cette identification étant au moins en partie identique à une identification par code monovalent gravé sur le boîtier. Des protubérances (57A, 57B) de chaque côté du boîtier laissent passer des perçages suffisamment longs pour éviter qu'un élément introduit dans ces perçages applique une force de levier sur la tige dans le but de la pousser vers le haut. Un dispositif anti-retrait est composé d'une bague de retenue (21) placée sur la tige et accouplée à une gorge (23) créé dans le boîtier (11) quand la tige est introduite dans le corps, la paroi latérale du boîtier possédant une zone de faiblesse (29) conçue pour se rompre si on essaie d'enlever le couvercle (67). Le boîtier est transparent et il est possible de voir à travers sa paroi inférieure (51), les trois derniers chiffres du nombre de série monovalent du joint de sûreté, matricés sur une languette (45) fixée au boîtier.
