The present invention describes two bar stays (1, 2) that include a slider (9, 10) within a track (3, 4), wherein the track (3, 4) comprises a base (19, 20) and two side walls (21, 22) substantially perpendicular to the base (19, 20) and wherein at least one of the side walls (21, 22) is flanged (23, 24) to provide a partially closed channel. The two bar stays (1, 2) have advantages with regard to ease of manufacture, ease of assembly, ease of use, stability and strength, amongst other benefits.
