A method for two-dimensionally separating substances characterized by using separating media independently of each other for two-dimensional separation step. A clear separation image free from distortion of the separation spot is formed. The method can be applied to two-dimensional electrophoresis for proteome analysis, and hence reproducibility can be significantly improved.

L'invention concerne un procédé de séparation de substances bidimensionnelle, consistant à utiliser des milieux de séparation indépendamment les uns des autres pour une étape de séparation bidimensionnelle. Une image de séparation nette du point de séparation, sans distortions, est formée. Le procédé peut être appliqué à une électrophorèse bidimensionnelle en vue d'une analyse du protéome, améliorant ainsi de façon importante la reproductibilité.
