ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A two-piece cable connector in a cathodic protection arrangement, each piece being fabricated from niobium, the elec- trical contact surfaces of which have thereon a coating of a platinum group metal, alloy or oxide. These connectors have the advantages, when compared to known connectors of simplicity and of utilizing two identical pieces, rather than a pair of different pieces.
