A header assembly (300) includes an insulative contact housing (302) having a plurality of walls defining an interior cavity and an insulative alignment housing (304) having at least one alignment rib (370) extending on an exterior surface thereof. The alignment housing (304) is separately provided and independently mounted to the contact housing (302). A plurality of contacts (306) are included within the cavity and extend through one of the walls to an exterior of the contact housing (302) wherein the contacts (306) flex against the alignment housing (304) and abut the alignment rib (370), thereby ensuring coplanarity of the contacts for surface mounting to a circuit board.
L~invention a pour objet un ensemble embase (300) comprenant un boîtier de contact isolant (302) dont une pluralité de parois définissent une cavité intérieure et un boîtier d~alignement isolant (304) présentant au moins une nervure d~alignement (370) sur sa surface extérieure. Le boîtier d~alignement (304) est monté séparément et indépendamment du boîtier de contact (302). Une pluralité de contacts (306) sont disposés dans la cavité et traversent l~une des parois vers l~extérieur du boîtier de contact (302), avant de fléchir contre le boîtier d~alignement (304) et de venir buter contre la nervure d~alignement (370) afin d~assurer la coplanarité des contacts pour un montage en surface sur une carte de circuit imprimé.
