Laser eye surgery systems (10), methods, and devices make use of a two-pivot scanning system (22,24) for laterally deflecting the laser beam (26) across the corneal surface to provide X-Y scanning. An imaging lens pivots about two eccentric axes extending along, but disposed beyond the laser beam (26). As the lens pivots, the beam will follow a substantially arc-shaped path. The eccentric axes are offset about the laser beam (26) axis by about 90°, and the system controller can compensate for the arc-shaped path deflections by adjusting the angular position of the imaging lens about complementary stage.
L'invention concerne des systèmes, des procédés, et des dispositifs chirurgicaux faisant usage d'un scanner à double pivot, servant à défléchir un faisceau laser sur une surface cornéenne afin d'obtenir un balayage X-Y. Une lentille de formation d'image pivote selon deux axes excentriques situés le long du faisceau laser, mais en dehors de celui-ci. Lorsque la lentille pivote, le faisceau décrit un chemin sensiblement arqué. Les axes excentriques sont déportés d'environ 90 DEG par rapport à l'axe du faisceau laser. Le contrôleur de système peut compenser les déflexions arquées en ajustant la position angulaire de la lentille de formation d'image selon une étape complémentaire.
