A two stage pressure control valve (10) has a poppet (66) movable toward and away from a valve seat (70) to vary the cross-sectional area of a passageway from an inlet (72) to an outlet (52). The position of the poppet (66) is dependent in part on the difference in pressure between a fluid pressure at the inlet (72) which exerts a force on the poppet (66) in one axial direction and a control pressure which is produced by a fluid flow from the inlet (72) in a chamber (94) downstream from the inlet (72) and which exerts a force on the poppet (66) in the opposite axial direction. The control pressure is controlled by an electromagnetic coil (22) which can be variably energized to move an armature (30) so as to vary a variable, restriction downstream from the control pressure so as to vary the control pressure. A tube (80) extends through and forms an axial sliding seal with the poppet (66) and communicates a flow of fluid from the inlet (72) to the variable restriction and the chamber (94) is positioned adjacent to an exterior surface of the tube (80). An orifice (90) through a wall of the tube (80) communicates a lumen (92) of the tube (80) with the chamber (94).

L'invention concerne une soupape de surpression à double détente (10) dont le champignon (66) se rapproche et s'écarte du siège (70) de la soupape, modifiant ainsi la section du passage entre l'admission (72) et l'évacuation (52). La position du champignon (66) dépend partiellement de la différence entre la pression du fluide à l'admission (72) qui exerce un effort sur le champignon (66) dans un sens axial et une pression de commande qui résulte de l'admission du fluide dans une chambre (94) située en aval de l'orifice d'admission (72) et qui exerce un effort sur le champignon (66) dans le sens axial opposé. La pression de commande est régulée par un électro-aimant (22) qui peut être parcouru par un courant variable actionnant l'induit (30) pour faire varier un limiteur variable situé en aval du circuit de pression de commande, de manière à faire varier cette dernière. Un tube (80) qui traverse le champignon (66) et forme un joint coulissant dans l'axe de ce dernier conduit le fluide de l'admission (72) au limiteur variable. La chambre (94) est placée contre la surface extérieure du tube (80). Un orifice (90) ménagé dans la paroi du tube (80) fait communiquer un canal (92) de celui-ci (80) avec la chambre (94).
