A two stroke crank case scavenged two-stroke internal combustion engine, the engine including: - a cylinder (2) configured to reciprocatingly receive a piston (6) therein defining a combustion chamber (8), the combustion chamber comprising an ignition means (5) for igniting an air/fuel mixture and an exhaust port (40) for evacuating the exhaust fumes, - a crank case (3) including a crank shaft (18), - an indirect fuel supply system (4), such as a carburettor (12) or a low pressure fuel-injection system, for supplying fuel to the crank case (3) to be scavenged to the combustion chamber (8), - at least one transfer duct (20, 20') each extending from the crank case (3) to at least one corresponding transfer port (21, 21') for connecting to the combustion chamber (8), - additional air filling means (25, 24, 27, 23, 23', 22, 22',26, 26') for at least partly filling the transfer duct/s (20, 20') with additional air from the transfer port (21, 21') towards the crank case (3), - and a direct injection means (7) for injecting fuel directly into the combustion chamber (8).

L'invention porte sur un moteur à combustion interne à deux temps à balayage par le carter de moteur, le moteur comprenant : - un cylindre (2) configuré pour recevoir en va-et-vient un piston (6) dans celui-ci, ceci définissant une chambre de combustion (8), la chambre de combustion comprenant un moyen d'allumage (5) pour allumer un mélange air/carburant et un orifice d'échappement (40) pour évacuer les fumées d'échappement, - un carter (3) comprenant un vilebrequin (18), - un système d'alimentation en combustible indirecte (4), tel qu'un carburateur (12) ou un système d'injection de carburant basse pression, pour envoyer du carburant au carter (2) devant être balayé vers la chambre de combustion (8), - au moins un conduit de transfert (20, 20') s'étendant respectivement entre le carter (3) et au moins un orifice de transfert correspondant (21, 21') pour un raccordement à la chambre de combustion (8), - des moyens de remplissage d'air supplémentaire (25, 24, 27, 23, 23', 22, 22',26, 26') pour remplir au moins partiellement le ou les conduits de transfert (20, 20') avec de l'air supplémentaire à partir de l'orifice de transfert (21, 21') vers le carter (3), et - un moyen d'injection directe (7) pour injecter directement du carburant dans la chambre de combustion (8).
