ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A storage assembly is formed of a support rail which can be attached to a vertical surface such as a wall and which can support removable adjustable hooks. The support rail has an upper row of spaced-apart apertures and a lower row of spaced-apart apertures, and includes a lower vertical wall beneath the lower row of spaced-apart apertures. Each hook includes an upper cantilever member for attachment to the rail at one of the upper row apertures. The hook also has a flexible lower cantilever member which is deflectable to facilitate attachment of the lower flexible cantilever member to the rail at one of the lower row apertures. The hook also has a bottom bearing member spaced below the lower cantilever member. The bottom bearing plate includes a projecting plate and a flange at the end of the plate defining a bearing surface generally perpendicular to the plate for bearing against the support rail lower vertical wall.
