The present invention concerns a method and a system for tracking an object, person or animal, the object, person or animal being provided with a tracking wireless transceiver. The system includes a receiver for receiving an indication that the object, person or animal needs to be tracked; a wireless radio link for wirelessly communicating with the tracking wireless transceiver; a device for estimating coordinates of the object, person or animal based on a location of one or more sites communicating with the tracking wireless transceiver; and at least one wireless device provided with the object, person or animal, for wirelessly communicating with the tracking wireless transceiver. The present invention can be useful for communicating with the object, person or animal to be tracked, and is a more flexible system over the prior art systems.
La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un système de poursuite d'objet, de personne ou d'animal, ledit objet, ladite personne ou ledit animal étant équipé d'un émetteur-récepteur de poursuite sans fil. Ce système comporte un récepteur conçu pour recevoir une indication comme quoi l'objet, la personne ou l'animal doit être suivi; une liaison radio sans fil pour communiquer par la voie des airs avec l'émetteur-récepteur de poursuite sans fil; un dispositif conçu pour évaluer les coordonnées de l'objet, de la personne ou de l'animal en fonction de la localisation d'un ou de plusieurs sites communiquant avec l'émetteur-récepteur de poursuite sans fil; et au moins un dispositif sans fil associé à l'objet, la personne ou l'animal pour communiquer par la voie des airs avec l'émetteur-récepteur de poursuite sans fil. La présente invention peut servir à communiquer avec un objet, une personne ou un animal devant être suivi et il constitue un système plus souple que les systèmes conformes à l'art antérieur de la technique.
