(57) Abstract: This invention is about a novel estimation technique for generating a predistortion function to compensate for the AM-AM and AM-PM non-linear conversion distortions of non-linear power amplifiers or non-linear circuits. Based on the cumu- lative type of power amplifier output envelope, a non-parametric baseband predistortion function is derived. The non-parametric approach avoids any model mismatch. In addition, the technique does not need to demodulate the input signal. L'invention concerne une nouvelle technique d'estimation permettant de générer une fonction de prédistorsion pour compenser les distortions de conversion non linéaires AM-AM et AM-PM d'amplificateurs de puissance non linéaire ou de circuits non linéaires. Une fonction de prédistorsion de bande de base non paramétrique est dérivée en fonction du type cumulatif d'enveloppe de sortie d'amplificateur de puissance. Cette approche non paramétrique permet d'éviter toute non correspondance de modèle. En outre, cette technique ne nécessite pas d'avoir recours à une démodulation du signal d'entrée.
