TYPIST'S COPY STAND Abstract of the Disclosure A copy stand, as typically used by a typist or keyboard operator in conjunction with an entry keyboard in an information system, is provided with vertically adjacent hard and soft copy areas whereby sheet material is retained for viewing in the hard copy area and an electronic display device in the soft copy area displays selected contents of an information text entered and stored in an associated RAM under the control of a programmed processor as directed by the keyboard operator. Electronic circuitry, including the processor and the RAM in addition to the electronic readout device are all housed within the copy stand whereby no additional space is required in relation to the soft copy feature over and above that normally required for the typical copy stand. - i -
