Abstract of the Disclosure A tyre chain is disclosed which has links which alternately extend level with and project away from the plane of the tyre chain and which form meshes, the mesh sides of which have at least one projecting chain link and the junctions of which are formed by level chain links. To ensure that the chain will become regularly worn, the mesh area bounded by adjacent junctions and the free link opening area bounded by a level chain link are of substan- tially equal size.
