The invention concerns a tyre (21) with radial carcass reinforcement (22) comprising a crown reinforcement (24) consisting of at least two working crown plies (241, 242) of inextensible reinforcing elements, crossed from one ply to the next forming with the circumferential direction angles ranging between 10° and 45° and having different axial widths. At least one first extruded section P of rubber mixture separates one working ply of at least one end from a second axially narrower ply, said extruded section P being radially separated at least partly from a liner C of said axially narrower working ply by a second extruded section of rubber mixture G, said extruded sections of rubber mixture P and G and said liner C having respectively secant moduli of elasticity under tension at 10 % elongation MP, MG, MC such that MC is not less than MG and MG greater than MP, said tyre further comprising in each shoulder at least one layer (243) of circumferentially oriented reinforcing elements, and the axially inner end of said additional layer being radially adjacent the edge of at least one working crown ply.

L'invention concerne un pneumatique (21) à armature de carcasse radiale (22) comprenant une armature de sommet (24) formée d'au moins deux couches de sommet de travail (241,242) d'éléments de renforcement inextensibles, croisés d'une nappe à l'autre en faisant avec la direction circonférentielle des angles compris entre 10~ et 45~ et ayant des largeurs axiales différentes. Au moins un premier prolilé P de mélange caoutchouteux sépare une couche de travail d'au moins une extrémité d'une deuxième couche axialement plus étroite, ledit profilé P étant radialement séparé au moins en partie du calandrage C de ladite couche de travail axialement plus étroite par un second profilé de mélange caoutchouteux G, lesdits profilés de mélange caoutchouteux P et G et ledit calandrage C ayant respectivement des modules sécants d'élasticité sous tension à 10 % d'allongement MP, MG, MC de sorte que MC soit supérieur ou égal à MG et MG supérieur à MP, ledit pneumatique comprenant additionnellement dans chaque épaule au moins une couche (243) d'éléments de renforcement orientés circonférentiellement, et l'extrémité axialement intérieure de ladite couche additionnelle étant radialement adjacente au bord d'au moins une couche de sommet de travail..
