ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A U-shaped clip intended for closing a gathered end portion of a bag or a flexible tube comprising : a web connecting two limbs, forming together the U-shaped clip, means comprising two beads integrally and parallely connected to the web and limbs, and continuously running along two lines which are located respectively inwardly with respect to each side edge of the web and the limbs. The beads are formed by inwardly flanging the side edges of the web and limbs, the beads projecting inwardly toward the bag or the flexible tube, said beads being spaced apart by a flat portion and forming between themselves a space for receiving the gathered end portion of the bag or flexible tube.
