An apparatus for projecting images (100, 200, 300, 400) onto a projection screen is disclosed. The apparatus incorporates novel features to reduce both cost and size while providing a high level of illumination uniformity at the projection surface (308). Specifically, the apparatus uses an illumination focusing group (104, 210, 220, 222) for providing a uniform level of light on the image (106) to be projected. The illumination focusing group (104, 210, 220, 222) is designed to make use of lenses unsuitable for use as projection lenses (108, 110, 220, 222), thus reducing scrap and the attendant cost thereof.
L'invention concerne un appareil de projection pour la projection d'images (100, 200, 300, 400) sur un écran de projection, qui présente des éléments nouveaux permettant de réduire le coût et la taille tout en assurant un haut niveau d'uniformité d'illumination à la surface de projection (308). Spécifiquement, l'appareil utilise un groupe de concentration de l'illumination (104, 210, 220, 222) établissant un niveau uniforme de lumière sur l'image (106) à projeter. Ledit groupe (104, 210, 220, 222) permet d'utiliser des lentilles qui ne se prêtent pas à une utilisation comme lentilles de projection (108, 110, 220, 222), moyennant quoi on réduit les déchets de fabrication et le coût des opérations correspondantes.
