The invention relates to an ultra-high-performance, self-compacting light-coloured concrete comprising: a cement; a mixture of calcined bauxite sands of different grain sizes, the finest sand having an average grain size of less than 1 mm and the thickest sand having an average grain size of less than 10 mm; optionally silica fume, whereby 90 % of the particles thereof have a size of less than 1 ?m and the average diameter is approximately 0.5 ?m, said silica fume representing at most 15 parts by weight per 100 parts of cement; an antifoaming agent; water-reducing superplasticiser; optionally fibres; and water. The inventive concrete also comprises: ultrafine calcium carbonate particles having a specific surface area that is equal to or greater than 10 m2/g and a form factor (IF) that is equal to or greater than 0.3 and, preferably, equal to or greater than 0.4. The grain size distribution of the cements, sands, ultrafine calcium carbonate particles and silica fume is such that at least three, and at most five, different grain size ranges are present, the ratio between the average diameter of one grain size range and that of the range immediately above is approximately 10. The invention also relates to the method of preparing one such concrete and to the uses thereof.

La présente invention concerne un béton ultra haute performance et autoplaçant, de teinte claire, comprenant : - un ciment, - un mélange de sables de bauxites calcinées de différentes granulométries, le sable le plus fin ayant une granulométrie moyenne inférieure à 1 mm et le sable le plus grossier ayant une granulométrie moyenne inférieure à 10 mm, - éventuellement de la fumée de silice dont 90% des particules ont une dimension inférieure à 1 ~m, le diamètre moyen étant d~environ 0,5 ~m, la fumée de silice représentant au plus (15) parties en poids pour 100 parties du ciment, - un agent anti- mousse, - un superplastifiant réducteur d~eau, - eventuellement des fibres, et - de l~eau, et en outre des particules ultrafines de carbonate de calcium présentant une surface spécifique égale ou supérieure à 10 m2/g, ainsi qu~un indice de forme IF égal ou supérieur à (0,3), de préférence égal ou supérieur à (0,4), et les ciments, les sables, les particules ultrafines de carbonate de calcium et la fumée de Silice présentant une répartition granulométrique telle que l~on ait au moins trois et au plus cinq classes granulométriques différents, le rapport entre le diamètre moyen d~une classe granulométrique et celui de la classe immédiatement supérieure étant d~environ (10). La présente invention concerne également le procédé de préparation et les utilisations d~un tel béton.
