It is desirable from an economic standpoint to be able to more rapidly develop silver halide photographic elements. It has been found in the practice of the present invention that by a combination of particular grain sizes, ratio of gelatin to silver halide, and coating weights, the drying time of emulsions can be reduced without adversely affecting sensitometry.
