- 19 - Abstract of the Disclosure Ultrasonic waves are applied to a test liquid of an unknown density, and the acoustic parameters of the liquid are measured. The difference is then detected between the acoustic parameters of the test liquid and those of a standard liquid of the same temperature. The difference thus detected is added to the known density of the standard liquid, thereby obtaining the density of the test liquid.
