An apparatus and method are provided for applying a medicament to tissue, and delivering ultrasonic energy from a non-contact distance from the tissue to the medicament and to the tissue, wherein the ultrasonic energy has intensity capable of penetrating the wound tissue to a beneficial depth to provide a therapeutic effect to the tissue, and of sonicating the medicament for causing the medicament to penetrate the tissue to a beneficial depth to provide a therapeutic effect to the tissue. Another apparatus and method are provided for generating ultrasonic energy from a non-contact distance from the surface of the wound; and delivering the generated ultrasonic energy to the wound through a gaseous medium. The generated ultrasonic energy has a significantly large amplitude such that the ultrasonic energy has an intensity capable of penetrating the wound tissue to a beneficial depth to provide a therapeutic effect for decreasing the healing time for the wound.
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant d'administrer un médicament à un tissu, et d'appliquer de l'énergie ultrasonore, à une distance sans contact du tissu, sur le médicament ainsi que sur le tissu. Selon l'invention, cette énergie ultrasonore présente une intensité qui lui permet de pénétrer dans le tissu lésé, à une profondeur bénéfique, pour exercer un effet thérapeutique sur ledit tissu, et qui lui permet en outre de soniquer le médicament pour permettre sa pénétration dans le tissu, à une profondeur bénéfique, pour exercer un effet thérapeutique sur ledit tissu. Cette invention concerne en outre un appareil et un procédé qui permettent de générer une énergie ultrasonore, à une distance sans contact de la surface de la lésion, ainsi que d'appliquer l'énergie ultrasonore générée sur la lésion, par l'intermédiaire d'une substance gazeuse. L'énergie ultrasonore générée présente une amplitude significativement grande, de sorte qu'elle possède une intensité qui lui permet de pénétrer dans le tissu lésé, à une profondeur bénéfique, pour exercer un effet thérapeutique destiné à réduire le temps de guérison de la lésion.
