The invention relates to an ultrasonic probe for the non-destructive testing of metal work pieces, particularly pipes, for transverse defects, comprising a row-shaped arrangement of oscillator elements located on a lead wedge for coupling to the work piece. According to the invention, the lead wedge is designed as a wedge-shaped hollow body, which is filled with fluid and the wedge angle of which is a maximum of 24°, and which is arranged on the work piece such that the intromission angle into the work piece is a maximum of 70°.
L'invention concerne un palpeur à ultrasons pour un contrôle non destructif de défauts transversaux sur des pièces métalliques, en particulier des tuyaux. Ce palpeur comporte des éléments transducteurs agencés en ligne, qui se trouvent sur un coin avant, en vue de leur accouplement avec la pièce. Selon l'invention, le coin avant se présente sous la forme d'un corps creux en forme de coin rempli de liquide, l'angle de ce coin atteignant au maximum 24°, et ce coin étant agencé sur la pièce de sorte que l'angle de pénétration dans la pièce atteint au maximum 70°.
