The appliance includes an appliance body (12) as well as a system for producing microbubbles (20) and a system for producing an ultrasound signal beam (22) in a frequency range which activates at least some of the microbubbles. The appli-ance includes at least one of the following: (a) an array of ultrasound transducer elements (40) which produce a plurality of ultra-sound signal beams; (b) an amplitude modulation assembly (51) for modulating the amplitude of the ultrasound signal; and (c) a frequency modulation system (61) for changing the frequency of the ultrasound signals over a selected range, to impact a range of microbubble sizes.
Selon l'invention, l'appareil comprend un corps d'appareil (12) ainsi qu'un système de génération de microbulles (20) et un système de génération d'un faisceau de signaux ultrasonores (22) dans une plage de fréquence activant au moins certaines des microbulles. L'appareil comprend au moins l'un des éléments suivants : (a) un réseau d'éléments transducteurs ultrasonores (40) générant une pluralité de faisceaux de signaux ultrasonores ; (b) un ensemble de modulation d'amplitude (51) destiné à moduler l'amplitude du signal ultrasonore ; et (c) un système de modulation de fréquence (61) destiné à modifier la fréquence des signaux ultrasonores dans une plage choisie, de façon à affecter une plage de dimensions de microbulles.
