The invention relates to an ultrasonic welding apparatus (100) for welding together at least two superposed sheets (1, 2) made of plastics material and travelling continuously along a determined path (F), the apparatus (100) being of the type comprising a sonotrode (101) and an anvil (102) disposed facing each other so that their facing surfaces (101', 102') define a through gap (102) through which two superposed sheets (1, 2) to be welded together pass, the gap having an inlet section (104) and an outlet section (105), the sonotrode (101) vibrating at high frequencies to emit ultrasound waves. According to the invention, the anvil is fixed and said facing surfaces of the sonotrode and of the anvil are generally plane and converge towards each other such that the section of said through gap decreases continuously between its inlet section and its outlet section.
L'invention concerne un appareil de soudage par ultrasons (100) permettant de souder l'une à l'autre au moins deux feuilles superposées (1, 2) en matière plastique, ces deux feuilles se déplaçant en continu le long d'une trajectoire prédéterminée (F). Cet appareil (100) est du type comprenant une sonotrode (101) et une enclume (102), lesquelles sont disposées de sorte que leurs surfaces (101', 102') situées l'une face à l'autre définissent un espace (102) que peuvent traverser deux feuilles superposées (1, 2) destinées à être soudées. Cet espace présente une partie orifice d'entrée (104) et une partie orifice de sortie (105), ladite sonotrode (101) vibrant à des fréquences élevées afin d'émettre des ultrasons. Selon cette invention, l'enclume est fixe et les surfaces de la sonotrode et de cette enclume qui se font face sont généralement planes et convergent l'une vers l'autre, de sorte que la partie dudit espace séparant la partie orifice d'entrée de la partie orifice de sortie de ce dernier diminue progressivement.
