The invention concerns an installation for non-destructive control for metal tube (T) wherein an ultrasound sensor (3) comprises transducer elements (Ci) which can be excited each at selected times. A downstream circuit (2, 4, 5) for processing the sensed signals analyzes a global response (7) of the tube at ultrasonic excitation. The invention is characterized in that the transducer elements are only excited to produce a single emission and the downstream circuit recovers (4) the samples (Sij) of the sensed signals each through a transducer element (Ci), to associate therewith (5) successive times (tj) respectively offset, so as to calculate several global responses of the tube at a single emission, by modifying the shifts between said successive times.
Dans une installation de contrôle non destructif pour tube métallique (T) un capteur ultrasonore (3) comprend des éléments transducteurs (Ci) qui peuvent être excités chacun à des instants choisis. Un circuit aval (2,4,5), de traitement des signaux captés, analyse une réponse globale (7) du tube à une excitation ultrasonore. Selon l'invention, les éléments transducteurs ne sont excités que pour produire une seule émission et le circuit aval récupère (4) les échantillons (Sij) des signaux captés chacun par un élément transducteur (Ci), pour leur associer (5) des instants successifs (tj) respectivement décalés, afin de calculer plusieurs réponses globales du tube à une seule émission, et ce, en modifiant les décalages entre ces instants successifs.
