This invention is of a resin composition including an additive of one or more organic peroxide thermal imitators to cationic photoinitiators, that are sensitized with alpha-hydroxy-ketones, which composition provides a self-- propagating thermal curing reaction first activated by a short duration of surface ultraviolet radiation. The thermal reaction is non-directional, thus eliminating the line of sight limitation of current radiation curing processes. Complete curing can be achieved of the composition in a very short time; often after only a few minutes or less. The activation period can be provided by only a few seconds of ultraviolet light using a wide variety of commercial ultraviolet light sources.
Cette invention porte sur une composition de résine comprenant un additif d'un ou de plusieurs succédanés de peroxyde organique thermique à photoamorceurs cationiques, qui sont sensibilisés à l'alpha-hydroxyle-cétones, dont la composition assure une auto-réaction propageant le durcissement thermique préalablement activée par une courte durée de rayonnement ultraviolet en surface. La réaction thermique est non directionnelle, éliminant ainsi l'interruption des procédés actuels de durcissement par rayonnement. Le durcissement complet de la composition peut être obtenu en un temps très court, souvent après seulement quelques minutes ou moins. La période d'activation peut être alimentée par seulement quelques secondes de lumière ultraviolette en utilisant une grande variété de sources de lumière ultraviolette commerciales.
