ABSTRACT A system for ultraviolet curing of ink on exteriors of articles such as plastic bottles employs a conveyor means to transport an upright row of bottles through an elongated curing station between opposing ultraviolet lamps while spinning the bottles about their axes. The preferred means for spinning the bottles includes a fixed bar and a moving belt which frictionally engage the necks of the bottles and impart motion to them due to the relative motion of the belt with respect to the fixed bar. The apparatus is adjustable to accommodate bottles of various sizes, and is enclosed in a housing to control emission of ultraviolet radiation. An exhaust fan is employed to remove hot air and ozone, which axe produced by the ultraviolet radiation.
