The invention relates to a launch system (8) for use in controlling subsea equipment, comprising: a winch (12) mounted on a vessel; a movable boom (20) mounted near the winch on the vessel for receiving cable (22) from the winch and guiding that cable to a subsea tool; at least one reel mounted near the moveable boom on the vessel for storing at least one optical conductor, electrical conductor or hydraulic conductor; at least one sheave (14) disposed on the movable boom for guiding the cable to the subsea tool; and at least one actuator mounted on the vessel for pivoting the moveable boom from a predeployed position to a deployed position. The invention includes a power system (36) mounted on the vessel for the at least one optical conductor, electrical conductor or hydraulic conductor when engaged with the subsea equipment which can be used for recovery of the subsea tool after controlling of the subsea equipment, as well as to a method for deploying and retrieving a subsea tool, such as a UTA, and the apparatus of a UTA (26) which comprises a lift point; a connector connected to said lift point; a guide surrounding the connector; a housing (66) connected to the guide, and further wherein the housing includes a mandrel for engaging the connector and at least one interface for connecting a member of the group: an electrical umbilical, a fiber optic cable, and a hydraulic umbilical (31); a plurality of flying leads (54) connected to the housing; a base (62) connected to the housing, and an emergency quick disconnect connected to the mandrel.
L'invention concerne un système de lancement servant au contrôle de l'équipement sous-marin, qui comporte un treuil monté sur un bateau; un bras mobile monté à proximité du treuil sur le bateau, destiné à recevoir un câble provenant du treuil et à le guider vers un outil sous-marin; au moins un tambour monté sur le bateau à proximité du bras mobile, destiné à stocker au moins un conducteur optique, électrique ou hydraulique; au moins un réa disposé sur le bras mobile, destiné à guider le câble vers l'outil sous-marin; au moins un actionneur monté sur le bateau, destiné à faire tourner le bras mobile d'une position prédéployée vers une position déployée; un bloc d'alimentation monté sur le bateau, destiné aux conducteurs optiques, électriques ou hydrauliques en prise avec l'équipement sous-marin que l'on peut utiliser lors de la récupération de l'outil sous-marin après le contrôle de l'équipement sous-marin. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de déployer et d'extraire un outil sous-marin, par exemple un ensemble terminaison ombilicale (UTA), ainsi que l'appareil d'un UTA qui comprend un point de levage; un connecteur relié audit point de levage; un guide entourant le connecteur; un boîtier relié audit guide. Ledit boîtier comprend: un mandrin mettant en prise le connecteur et au moins une interface de façon à relier un élément du groupe: un ombilical électrique, un câble à fibres optiques et un ombilical hydraulique; plusieurs conducteurs volants reliés audit boîtier; une base reliée audit boîtier et un dispositif de dégagement rapide d'urgence relié au mandrin, comprenant un raccord hydraulique en prise avec des pistons hydrauliques pouvant libérer plusieurs leviers de débrayage, ce qui permet au connecteur hydraulique de se libérer de l'UTA.
