Abstract of the Disclosure A collapsible umbrella having a stick and dome ribs projecting outwardly from a crown at one end of the stick when the umbrella is open. Each dome rib is made of three sections with the outer section foldable on the main section and the main section telescopic within the inner section hinged to the crown, and a main runner is slidable on the stick and a stretcher member is hinged to the main runner and to one end of the main dome rib. A strut member is hinged also to an auxiliary runner on the stick which may be movable and to a point intermediate the stretcher member. A parallelogram, including a control link, is provided whereby the control link is hinged to the stretcher member and to an extension of the outer folding sec- tion to control the folding of the outer section onto the main dome rib section.
