The present invention relates to a stable, aqueous odor-absorbing composition, for use on inanimate surfaces. The composition comprises from about 0.1 % to about 5 % by weight of the composition, of solubilized, water-soluble, uncomplexed cyclodextrin, an effective amount of a solubilized, water-soluble, antimicrobial preservative having a water-solubility of greater than about 0.3 %, optional perfume, and an aqueous carrier. The composition is essentially free of any material that would soil or stain fabric and has a pH of greater than about 3. The composition can be incorporated into a spray dispenser to create an article of commerce that can facilitate treatment of articles and/or surfaces with uncomplexed cyclodextrin solutions of a level that is effective yet is not discernible when dried on the surface.
La présente invention concerne une composition aqueuse stable, absorbant les odeurs et destinée aux surfaces inanimées. La composition comprend une proportion pondérale d'environ 0,1 % à 5 % de cyclodextrine non complexée, hydrosoluble et solubilisée, une quantité suffisante d'un conservateur antimicrobien, hydrosoluble et solubilisé, dont la solubilité dans l'eau est supérieure à environ 0,3 %, ainsi que du parfum. La composition est sensiblement exempte de toute substance susceptible de souiller ou de tacher les textiles et présente un pH supérieur à environ 3. Cette composition peut être incorporée dans un pulvérisateur pour créer un article du commerce facilitant le traitement des articles et/ou surfaces au moyen de solutions à base de cyclodextrine non complexée en une quantité qui tout en étant suffisante, n'est pas discernable lorsqu'elle a séché sur la surface.
