UNCOUPLING DEVICE FOR RAILWAY CAR COUPLER Abstract of the Disclosure: A railway car uncoupling device includes a flexible cable having an inner shaft and outer sheath con- centrically disposed about the shaft and mounted for rela- tive movement therebetween. One end of the shaft is con- nected to the coupler knuckle thrower. The other end of the shaft is connected to the cam of an operating assembly for movement with said cam. Means is provided for rotating the cam, with rotation of the cam causing the shaft to move axially for rotating the thrower to open the coupler knuckle.
