An underarm composition is provided which includes C1-C6 alkyl acetate, an underarm active selected from astringent salts and anti-microbial agents, and a carrier. The carrier may include propellant, silicone, ester and liquid paraffin. Methyl and t-butyl acetates are preferred. Acetates allow reduction in the levels of more volatile organics thereby decreasing air pollution. They also reduce formulation greasiness, are less clogging to spray nozzles, cause less metal can corrosion and reduce caking of actives through better resuspension.

L'invention concerne une composition destinée aux aisselles et comprenant un acétate d'alkyle C1-C6, un agent actif au niveau des aisselles, choisi parmi des sels astringents et des agents antimicrobiens, ainsi qu'un support, lequel peut contenir un agent propulseur, une silicone, un ester et de la paraffine liquide. On préfère en tant qu'acétates, des acétates de méthyle et de t-butyle. Les acétates permettent de réduire les niveaux d'émission des composés volatils organiques, diminuant ainsi la pollution de l'air, et de réduire également les propriétés graisseuses de la formulation; en outre, ils provoquent moins d'obstruction des buses de vaporisation et moins de corrosion du contenant métallique et diminuent l'agglomération des principes actifs par une meilleure remise en suspension.
