The existing Power Transmission Lines consist of cables suspended from the supporting Steel Towers, crosse the fields and rivers from the power source to the consumers. This aerial conception is exposed to the climatic effects: rain, snow temperature changes ,wind, lightning and in winter ice accumulation adding a considerable weight, causing the cables breakdowns, followed by towers breakdowns. The consequences are very costly and are followed by power privation at the time when the power is mostly needed. My invention is the simple installation with an increased number of conductors, located in the space below the New conception of reinforced concrete "Tunnel type" construction for Highways, Roads and Streets, far away from any climatic, temperature, lightning or any other factors so destructive to the existing Power Transmission Lines. The Power Transmission will be installed in the protective space where the conductors are free of any kind of stresses and energy losses and at the fractional cost of the existing installation. The access is easy and the undarground service road between the Highway's footings will allow the inspection crew to travel on the electric cart and make very long inspections in a short period of time . As a costlier alternative, the Power Transmission Line could be installed in a large concrete pipe, placed in the excavated trench and backfilled.
Les lignes de transmission électriques existantes sont faites de câbles suspendus à des pylônes d'acier, traversant champs et rivières depuis la source d'alimentation jusqu'aux consommateurs. Cette conception aérienne soumet les installations aux effets climatiques: pluie, neige, changements de température, vent, foudre et, en hiver, accumulation de glace ajoutant un poids considérable qui entraîne la rupture des câbles et l'effondrement des pylônes. Les conséquences sont très coûteuses et provoquent la privation de courant au moment où on en a le plus besoin. Mon invention est la simple installation avec un nombre accru de conducteurs, situés dans l'espace sous la construction de type tunnel en béton armé de conception nouvelle pour les chaussées routières ou de voirie urbaine, à l'abri des intempéries et autres facteurs à caractère destructif pour les lignes de transmission électriques. Les lignes électriques sont installées dans l'espace protégé où les conducteurs sont libres de toute contrainte ou perte d'énergie, et ce, à une fraction du coût de l'installation existante. L'accès est facile et la voie de service souterraine entre les empattements de la chaussée permettra au personnel d'inspection de se déplacer en voiture électrique et de faire de très longs trajets d'inspection en une courte période de temps. Une autre solution plus coûteuse serait de poser la ligne de transmission électrique dans une grosse canalisation en béton placée en tranchée et remblayée.
