A female-molded double-walled underground storage tank (103) is provided with an annulus of reduced thickness, defined by a plastic film. The film (106) separates the inner (114) and outer (100) wall of the tank, providing an annulus which can be monitored to monitor the tank (103) for failure of either the inner (114) or the outer (100) tank, before contamination of the exterior environment. The tank (103) is formed of fiberglass reinforced plastic, the inner and outer walls thereof being tied together by fiberglass reinforced plastic which holds the annular film in place. The domes of the outer and inner shell are separated due to a layer of wax and alcohol applied to the inner surface of the dome of the exterior tank prior to formation of the interior tank. The space between the flats of the two tanks, the domes of the two tanks, and the interior of the ribs (102) of the exterior tank are placed in fluid communication by gutters running along the length of the tank (103).
L'invention concerne un réservoir de stockage souterrain (103) à double parois, moulé dans une matrice, présentant un espace annulaire de faible épaisseur défini par un film plastique. Ce film (106) sépare l'intérieur (114) de l'extérieur (100) du réservoir, définissant un espace annulaire pouvant être contrôlé pour permettre de surveiller si le réservoir (103) présente un défaut à l'intérieur (114) ou à l'extérieur (100), et d'éviter une contamination de l'environnement extérieur. Ce réservoir (103) est formé de matière plastique renforcée par des fibres de verre, l'intérieur et l'extérieur dudit réservoir étant reliés par une matière plastique renforcée avec des fibres de verre, qui maintient le film annulaire en place. Les dômes de la coque extérieure et intérieure sont séparés par une couche de cire et d'alcool appliquée sur la surface intérieure du dôme du réservoir extérieur, avant la formation du réservoir intérieur. L'espace compris entre les parties plates des deux réservoirs, les dômes des deux réservoirs et l'intérieur des nervures (102) du réservoir extérieur sont placés en communication fluidique au moyen de rainures s'étendant le long du réservoir (103).
