ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An underwater camera housing comprises two molded sections to which a front portal and a rear portal are secured to allow through the camera viewing. The molded sections include integral hollow handles exterior to a sealed compartment which not only function as handles, but also serve to reinforce the housing and allow more suitable location of the clamping mechanism. The walls of the housing on the top and bottom surface have a particular shape to resist the water pressure force and to increase the sealing pressure on a portion of the seal of the sealed compartment.
