A method of underwater communication between a link initiator and a link receptor, by transmitting a link acquisition waveform from the initiator to the receptor, and establishing communications channel parameters from such a received waveform. Data is then transmitted according to these parameters, which may include range, direction, frequency band and Doppler, with greater efficiency and robustness.

L'invention concerne un procédé qui permet d'établir une communication sous-marine entre un déclencheur de liaison et un récepteur de liaison, par la transmission d'une forme d'onde d'acquisition de liaison du déclencheur au récepteur, et la mise en uvre de paramètres de canaux de communications à partir d'une telle forme d'onde reçue. Des données sont ensuite transmises de manière plus efficace et robuste en fonction de ces paramètres, qui peuvent comprendre des paramètres de portée, de direction, de bande de fréquence et d'effet Doppler.
