Un tel sonar est composé d'une antenne émettrice; d'une antenne récep- trice, toutes deux montées sur un même support pivotant autour d'un axe vertical; d'un dispositif de formation de 100 voies d'écoute très déliées et rapprochées, focalisées dans la zone de Fresnel d'un dispositif d'échantillonnage séquentiel des voies d'ecoute; d'un oscilloscope; d'une loupe à mémoire et d'une base de temps qui synchronise les opérations. Une application est la détection et l'identification des mines de fond à influence.
