ABSTRACT In equipment for the protection of the eyes and face, it is known to have either goggles or safety glasses that protect the eyes from dust or flying debris, or a face shield that runs from the chin to the forehead. Normally, both the goggles or safety glasses and face shield are made of clear, flexible, shatter proof plastic to allow for maximum visability. As well, the eye glasses, goggles or face shield are sometimes tinted to provide the wearer protection from the intense light produced from welding operations. However, seldom are both gogles and a face shield worn together. In this invention, the goggles and face shield are combined into one molded unit, and the face shield is extended below the chin of the wearer down to the neck. Where necessary, the goggles and shield before the wearer's eyes can be tinted to provide protection to the eyes from the intense light produced from welding. The one piece unit is secured to the wearer by the standard head band currently used for face shields.
