The invention concerns a transducer with surface acoustic waves wherein an etched grid is overlaid on the standard electrode arrays of acoustic transducers. The overlay of said arrays enables to obtain a preferential direction for the propagation of the acoustic waves while maintaining a high quality factor Q comparable to that of standard birectional transducers. The invention is applicable to mobile radio communication.

L'invention concerne un transducteur à ondes acoustiques de surface dans lequel on superpose un réseau de gravure, aux réseaux d'électrodes classiques des transducteurs acoustiques. La superposition de ces réseaux permet d'obtenir une direction privilégiée de propagation des ondes acoustiques tout en maintenant un facteur de qualité (Q) élevé, comparable à celui des transducteurs bidirectionnels classiques. Applications: radiocommunication mobile.
