A unified tile scoring and fracturing device having a simple adjustment for making straight or diagonal cuts on a piece of tile. The tile cutter provides a guide rod above and parallel to the base of the tile cutter and a single control handle having widely disposed lateral fins. A rota?ble tile scoring wheel is provided at the forward base of the con- trol handle to score the tile. The handle is movably and slidably fitted along the guide rod. Tile cutting is effected by sliding the handle along the guide rod while exerting downward pressure to cause the scoring disk to score the tile, thereby making a cut line. After the tile is scored, further downward pressure is exerted on the handle to cause the lateral fins to fracture the tile along the scored line. A simple novel means is provided to position the tile on the tile cutter accurately for both straight and diagonal cuts. -1-
