The present invention is directed to a gaming chip with a machine-readable symbol encoding a unique identifier for use in a casino environment and methods for producing the same. The present invention prints symbols and human- readable symbols onto a substrate where at least the symbol is machine- readable. The portions of the substrate having the printed symbols, human- readable symbols, or both can be formed into three-dimensional chip members such that the printed surfaces remain on the interior region of the chip member and readable from a region exterior to the gaming chip by a scanner or optical device. The chip members can be integrally formed into a gaming chip through the injection of filler material between the chip members. The injection molding process structurally and integrally bonds the respective chip members together.
La présente invention concerne un jeton de jeu comportant un symbole lisible par une machine codant un identifiant unique à utiliser dans un environnement de casino et ses procédés de production. La présente invention consiste en l'impression de symboles et de symboles lisibles par l'homme sur un substrat de sorte qu'au moins un symbole est lisible par une machine. Les parties du substrat comportant les symboles imprimés, les symboles lisibles par l'homme ou tous les symboles peuvent se présenter sous la forme d'éléments de jetons tridimensionnels de sorte que les surfaces imprimées restent sur la région intérieure de l'élément de jeton et sont lisibles depuis une région extérieure au jeton de jeu par un scanner ou un dispositif optique. Les éléments de jeton peuvent être transformés solidairement en un jeton de jeu par injection de matière de remplissage entre les éléments de jeton. Le processus de moulage par injection lie ensemble de manière structurale et solidaire les éléments respectifs de jetons.
