A header box (10) for a heat exchanger includes a hollow unitary body having four generally flat sides forming a generally quardilater al cross/section. End plates (45) are located at, and coupled to, each end of the unitary body. One flat side has a plurality of plug openings located. The flat side opposite the one generally flat side having the plug openings includes a plurality of tube openings (46).

L'invention concerne un réservoir d'eau (10) conçu pour un échangeur thermique et comportant un corps creux unitaire présentant quatre faces sensiblement plates formant une section transversale sensiblement quadrilatérale. Des plaques d'extrémité (45) sont disposées au niveau de chaque extrémité dudit corps unitaire et sont accouplées à ces dernières. Une face sensiblement plate comporte une pluralité d'ouvertures conçues pour des moyens d'obturation. La face plate opposée à la face sensiblement plate comportant lesdites ouvertures conçues pour des moyens d'obturation comprend une pluralité d'ouvertures (46) conçues pour des tubes.
