A unitary multi-cell partition (11) for packaging articles for use with a multi-sided carton or tray (12) having a circumscribed space (31) therein. The partition is formed of molded pulp and is capable of being disposed in the space and is adapted to receive the articles within the cells of the partition. The partition comprises a plurality of wall portions (41) which are inclined from the vertical when the partition is free standing and free of the space in the carton or tray. The plurality of wall portions are arranged to provide a plurality of vertically disposed spaced-apart cells (36). The wall portions have upper and lower extremities and hinge portions (52-57) joining certain of the wall portions to permit bending of certain of the wall portions with respect to other of the wall portions. The wall portions of the partition form a partition which has dimensions which are greater than the space in the carton or tray whereby the partition must be compressed into a smaller size to fit within the carton or tray.
L'invention concerne une séparation (11) monobloc formant plusieurs cellules, qui permet d'emballer des articles, et est utilisée dans un carton ou un plateau (12) à plusieurs côtés possédant un espace circonscrit (31). La séparation est formée de pâte moulée, peut être placée dans ledit espace, et est conçue de façon à recevoir les articles dans les cellules constituées par ladite séparation. Elle comprend plusieurs parties de paroi (41) inclinées par rapport à la verticale lorsque la séparation est autoportante et se trouve à l'extérieur de l'espace du carton ou du plateau. La pluralité de parties de paroi est agencée de façon à produire plusieurs cellules (36) espacées, disposées verticalement. Les parties de paroi possèdent des extrémités supérieures et inférieures, et des parties articulées (52-57) reliant certaines des extrémités supérieures des parties de paroi, ce qui permet d'incurver certaines parties de paroi par rapport à d'autres. Elles forment une séparation dont les dimensions sont supérieures à celles de l'espace du carton ou du plateau, ladite séparation devant être comprimée en une taille plus petite pour s'ajuster dans ledit carton ou plateau.
