Abstract Improved unitary panel modules are used in constructing a partition. The panel modules are assembled and then shipped to a location where they are to be installed. Each unitary panel module includes an adjustable base assembly and a resiliently compressible head assembly. When a partition is being constructed, a second unitary panel module is connected with the first panel module by an improved connector assembly. The connector assembly includes a connector member having hooks which engage a vertical support member on one of the panel modules and slots which are engaged by hooks on another panel module.
