The present invention relates to a universal peripheral interface comprised of control logic circuits for a plurality of peripherals carrying different signals on different pins of respective peripheral connectors, a single interface connector for mating with any of the peripheral connectors, a first multiplexer for interfacing any of the control logic circuits with the single interface connector and for switching particular lines of each of the control logic circuits carrying particular signals to particular pins of the single connector, and apparatus for controlling the multiplexer to map the lines to the particular pins of the single connector.
Cette invention concerne une interface de périphérique universelle constituée des éléments suivants : des circuits logiques de commande s'appliquant à une série de périphériques conçus pour transporter des signaux différents sur diverses broches correspondantes; un seul connecteur d'interface rattachable à n'importe quel connecteur de périphérique; un premier multiplexeur conçu pour établir une interface avec n'importe quel circuit logique de commande à l'aide d'un seul connecteur d'interface et commuter certaines lignes de chacun des circuits logiques de commande transportant certains signaux déterminés vers des broches déterminées du connecteur; et un appareil conçu pour que, en commandant le multiplexeur, celui-ci établisse la correspondance entre les lignes et les broches particulières du connecteur.
