ABSTRACT Exercising machine having a plurality of resilient rods (44) which are flexed and resist movement of a person using the machine. Forces are exerted on the resilient rods through cables (52) to which a variety of attach- ments such as hand grips (98), foot stirrups (114) and a sliding bench (82) can be connected to exercise different parts of the body. The rods can be used in any combina- tion to suit the requirements and physical abilities of the person using the machine.
