A new and useful device for connecting an eavestrough downspout having a first cross-section, to a drainage extension having a second cross-section, wherein each of the first cross-section and the second cross-section may be any cross-section chosen from the group consisting of round, square, square with rounded corners, rectangular and rectangular with rounded corners. The device comprises a first portion of pipe having an entrance means of a size sufficient for receiving an end of the downspout irrespectice of the first cross-section and a second portion of pipe having an exit means of a size sufficient for insertion into an end of the drainage extension irrespective of the second cross-section. The first portion is connected to the second portion remote from the entrance means and the exit means and the device further comprises fastening means to fasten the first portion to the downspout and the second portion to the drainage extension and arranged so that in use, water flows from the downspout to the extension through the device without leaking.
