A solvent cement for bonding PVC, CPVC and ABS plastic pipe and other molded articles comprises a minor amount of an acrylic resin and one or more solvents capable of dissolving the acrylic resin and further capable of dissolving at least the surfaces of PVC, CPVC and ABS molded articles, wherein the acrylic resin constitutes at least 75 wt.% of the dissolved thermoplastic resin in the cement.

L'invention concerne une colle à base de solvant servant à relier des conduites en PVC, en CPVC, et en plastique ABS, ainsi que d'autres articles moulés. Cette colle à base de solvant comprend une faible quantité d'une résine acrylique et un ou plusieurs solvants pouvant dissoudre cette résine acrylique et au moins les surfaces des articles moulés en PVC, en CPVC, et en plastique ABS. Selon l'invention, la résine acrylique constitue au moins 75 % en poids de la résine thermoplastique dissoute dans la colle.
