The aim of the invention is to position an unmanned aircraft (1) that is used as a platform (10) for telecommunication or other scientific purposes at a predetermined altitude in the stratosphere. Said aim is achieved by an unmanned aircraft (1) comprising a pressurized balloon (11) which is filled with gas and supports the platform (10). The pressurized balloon (11) is arranged within an outer balloon (12; 12') which is provided with an aerodynamic external shape in the stratosphere and forms a low-pressure or high-pressure insulating chamber (20; 50) around the pressurized balloon (11), said insulating chamber (20; 50) being optionally filled with a medium. Furthermore, heating and cooling means are provided for the medium circulating in the insulating chamber (20; 50) while means encompassing electrically driven propellers (15) or similar located outside the outer balloon (12, 12') are supplied for maintaining the position of the platform relative to the Earth. The negative effects that extreme differences in temperature have on the gas pressure in the pressurized balloon are thus largely cancelled such that the pressurized balloon can be made of a lighter and cheaper material and the service life thereof is effectively extended.
Aéronef non habité (1) en tant que plate-forme (10) utilisée à des fins de télécommunication ou à d'autres fins scientifiques, destiné à être stationné à un altitude prédéterminée dans la stratosphère. Ledit aéronef comporte un ballon à fluide sous haute pression (11) rempli de gaz et portant la plate-forme (10). Ledit ballon (11) est placé à l'intérieur d'un ballon externe (12; 12') possédant une forme externe aérodynamique dans la stratosphère, qui forme une chambre d'isolation (20; 50) à basse pression ou à haute pression pouvant être rempli d'un fluide autour du ballon à fluide sous haute pression (11). Ledit aéronef comporte en outre des moyens de chauffe ou de refroidissement pour le fluide circulant dans la chambre d'isolation (20; 50) et des moyens de maintien de la position de la plate-forme par rapport à la terre sous forme d'hélices (15) ou analogues pouvant être entraînées électriquement et se trouvant à l'extérieur du ballon externe (12; 12'). Cela permet d'éviter dans une large mesure les effets négatifs des différences extrêmes de température sur la pression du gaz dans le ballon à fluide sous haute pression, si bien que ce dernier peut être fabriqué à partir d'un matériau plus léger et moins cher et que sa durée de vie s'en trouve ainsi effectivement augmentée.
